Where it begins.

God is so good! I am so excited to tell you about this amazing opportunity that God has given me.  He has stretched me, tested me, and yet again has remained faithful!  Many of you know that I have a heart for traveling and serving others, especially overseas.  Well God has placed this desire with in me and I can say that this current chapter in my life did not simply start a month or two ago, however God has been orchestrating and molding my life for this amazing opportunity.

My journey began almost 7 years ago when I traveled to Santa Cruz, Honduras.  From that point forward god has blessed me with numerous opportunities to serve sending me to Honduras for a second time, to the Dominican Republic, this past March to Peru, and now Costa Rica for 6 months.

I have been given the opportunity to serve as an intern with an organization called EMI [Engineering Ministries International].   EMI is a non-profit missions based organization that have done over 700 projects in over 85 countries. They provide architectural design and engineering services to the neediest of the needy.  Some projects they have done include orphanages, churches, clinics, hospitals, and schools.  I am so blessed that God has given me the opportunity to use the gifts and talents that He has placed within me to serve Him.

Where I'll be:  Atenas, Costa Rica

It is a privilege to be able to share with experience with you. I will be updating this blog regularly to share what God is doing in my life, what He is doing in other peoples lives, and the work that me and my team will be doing in Costa Rica.  Your prayers are very much needed.  Pray that my team and I will be able to raise funds to be able to do God's work to our fullest. Pray for safety as we travel. Pray that God would use us as His instruments, as His ambassadors, that we would make an impact on the people we serve and come in contact with. Pray for the families that we will be staying with. I believe there is great power in prayer.

Many of you will receive a letter from me and I would ask that you prayerfully consider taking a part in this opportunity that God has given me. Make a difference in someone's life.  If you do not receive a letter let me know! I would gladly send one to you! email me your address @ 1plarsen@student.judsonu.edu
